The need to reach a younger generation of medical professionals and the realization that FAMI could indeed have further-reaching uses, beyond aesthetic surgery, recently came together with the creation of the FAMI Foundation.

After nearly twelve years of research and development, Dr. Amar began to see that he could apply his application of adult stem cells to those most in need. Concentrating on patients who suffered from physical deformities, but lacked the financial resources to seek or afford treatment, Dr. Amar started the FAMI Foundation.

In addition to raising money to offer FAMI’s natural and organic growth without the risks and costs associated with traditional methods, the Foundation aimed to offer additional training to young medical professionals who aimed to adopt FAMI into the services offered by their clinics.

Aiming at patients suffering from conditions such as cleft lips and muscle deficiencies or defects, the Foundation aims not only to apply the resources of FAMI to the needs of patients in need, but also support further research into the possible uses of stem cells for regenerative surgery.
